In Lourdes and in Fatima, Mary appeared with the rosary. At Fatima she asked the three children to pray the rosary daily. The rosary is nothing new. Mary is asking us to pray for many years. The rosary has been around for centuries. There is a primitive version, before Christ, where the devotees "moved the beads." In other words, they grabbed a handful of Stones and prayed one prayer per stone, throwing it later.

Some people complain that the rosary is monotonous, praying Ave Maria after Ave Maria. Once again, Maria doesn't want our lips, she wants our hearts.

The Blessed Virgin wants us to abandon ourselves to God. This conversion to God begins with directing our minds to God. Our mind, our thoughts, our meditations should focus on meditating on the mysteries of Christ. If you want to live the mysteries of the Holy Rosary, which focus on Jesus, you must think about them first. This is the Marian way of praying. Meditate on the most important event of the mystery, as you say the rosary.

We recognize the saving action of the infinite God in the prayer of the rosary. He acts here on earth beginning with Mary, leading us through Jesus' life, death, and resurrection, and concluding with the coronation and reign of Mary.

The rosary teaches us the following:

The prayers of the Rosary

The sign of the cross

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

The Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, Almighty Father, Creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the work and grace of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under the power of Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried, descended into hell, the third day he rose from the dead, ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God, almighty father. From there he must come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the Communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and eternal life. Amen.

Our father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be your name; let your kingdom come; Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread; forgive our offenses, as we also forgive those who offend us; do not lead us into temptation, and deliver us from evil. Amen.

Ave Maria

Hail Mary, you are full of grace; the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among all women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

The Glory

Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, now and forever, forever and ever. Amen.

Fatima Prayer

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, free us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of your mercy.

I saved her

Hail God, Queen and Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness and hope, God save you. We call you the exiled sons of Eve; to you we sigh, moaning and crying, in this valley of tears. Come, then, Lady, our advocate, return to us those your merciful eyes, and, after this exile, show us Jesus, the blessed fruit of your womb. Oh gracious, oh pious, oh sweet Virgin Mary!

Prayer after the Rosary
